Halloween Time
Halloween is the one night of the year that people can dress in costumes and kids can go trick-or-treating. It is a dream come true for any child. They get to dress up and get free candy. Halloween costumes are traditionally those of monsters such as vampires, ghosts, skeletons, witches, and devils. Costumes are also based on themes other than traditional horror, such as those of characters from television shows, movies and other pop culture icons. You now also get costumes for pets. Now you can really bring the monster out in them.
Games and activities that also goes hand in hand with halloween is bobbing for apples and ghost stories and horror films. Bobbing for apples is a game in which apples float in a tub or a large basin of water and the participants must use their teeth to remove an apple from the basin.
Visiting a haunted attraction like a haunted house are other Halloween practices. A variant of the haunted house is the haunted trail, where the public encounters supernatural-themed characters or presentations of scenes from horror films while following a trail. One of the largest Halloween attractions in the United States is Knott’s Halloween Haunt at California’s Knott’s Berry Farm since 1973.
Close the windows, lock the doors and Turn out the lights, or all the ghosts, goblins and ghouls will come and get you at night. Jump into bed and then pull the covers up tight and dont open your eyes till the morning light.
