Introduction

God of war is the type of game that when you start you just can’t stop. Believe me when i say a memory card is a must for this game. You don’t want to get far in the game and have to start all over again because you could not save your progress.The game if packed full of action and adventure that will keep you busy for hours and on the edge of your seat.

Background Information

Kratos is a sparta warrior that gave up everything to Ares the god of war if he would save him and destroy his enemies. With the help of Ares kratos and the other sparta worriers defeated their enemies.

Ares accepted Kratos offer and bestowed a special weapon onto kratos the Blades of Chaos. With the new gift bestowed onto Kratos he was now a servant of Ares.

To make sure that Kratos fully served him Ares tricked Kratos into killing his wife and daughter. With that deed done a old lady placed a curse on Kratos covering his body with the ashes of his wife and daughter thereby turning his skin white and earning him the name of ghost of sparta.

Once Kratos realised what happened he was devastated and angry at Ares for what he had done to him. To stop the haunting images and dreams of that night Kratos agreed to serve the other gods if they would remove the events of that night from his memory.

The gods sends Kratos on a quest to stop Ares the god of war who has become consumed with war. Ares attacking city after city and ignoring the pleas of the gods to stop what he was doing left them with no choice but to take action.

The gods decided to use kratos to stop Ares as it is disallowed for the gods to fight each other.

The Game

Kratos begins his quest on the dock of a ship in the Aegean Sea. Immediately, Kratos is confronted by a horde of monsters.

Health is received from green health orbs that can be found from fallen enemies or green glowing chests. Magic is received from blue orbs that can be found from blue glowing chests or fallen enemies. Power ups are received from red power up orbs that can be found by smashing objects, opening red glowing chests or fallen enemies.

Power up orbs are used to raise the power and skill of your magic items. The magic items are given to Kratos by the gods during his quest. The magic items are Poseidon’s Rage, Medusa’s Gaze, Zeus’ Fury, Army Of Hades and Blad Of Artemis.

God of war consists of the following levels:
Agean Sea,Gates of Athens,Road to Athens,Athens Town Square,Rooftops of Athens,Temple of the Oracle,Sewers of Athens,Desert of Lost Souls,Pandora’s Temple,Rings of Pandora,The Challenge of Atlas,The Challenge of Poseidon,The Challenge of Hades,Cliffs of Madness,Architect’s Tomb,The Path of Hades,Temple of the Oracle Revisited.

When Kratos defeats Ares the gods rewards him and gives him a gift, but that was not what he was hoping for. To find out what the reward is go and dive into the ancient world filled with gods and monsters and creatures like undead legionnaires, hydras, minotaurs, cyclops and many more.
